New Position & Scholarship Announcement
CD-SEAS Mission Microgravity is thrilled to announce Mr. Jeremy Guin to the position of Community Outreach Director. Jeremy joined the company two years ago and held the position of Public Affairs Officer, proving himself as a committed company advocate.
During his time as a Public Affairs Officer, Jeremy was planning, scheduling, and coordinating CD-SEAS speaking engagements at charitable organizations, for local government officials, and at special events. He was responsible for researching and disseminating information for the scientific market in which CD-SEAS is poised to impact. Because of his loyalty, duty, and selfless service, Jeremy became the primary speaking representative for the company in the Honolulu, Hawaii area.
As the new Community Outreach Director for CD-SEAS, Jeremy will be expanding the company’s reach by allowing for more engagement with local and national organizations. On behalf of the company, he will continue conducting market research, speaking as the company’s representative at events, and participating in training and workshops for the primary goal of inspiring and building community relations in Hawaii and across the United States of America.
Jeremy brings a wealth of experience to CD-SEAS, and we are excited about his new role at the company. Recently, he was a Space Camp Crew Trainer with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, teaching the space-related interdisciplinary subjects of Space History, Science, Elementary Physics, Elementary Engineering, and Simulation Training.
Our team is hard working, with dedication and devotion to capitalize on the new direction of the Company. We have achieved initial success and are reorganizing the Company building on a solid foundation for CD-SEAS Mission Microgravity to expand. Since every team member is integral to CD-SEAS, there is an added commitment and motivation to work harder to create and obtain training for our members. CD-SEAS does this by researching opportunities, and personally applying for and submitting the paperwork for our members to receive scholarships and grants for training. This investment by CD-SEAS Mission Microgravity is an added value and at no cost to our members.
CD-SEAS Mission Microgravity acknowledges and rewards members for their service and applied for a scholarship on behalf of Mr. Jeremy Guin for his dedication and continued training and development with the company.
Jeremy’s application was selected and awarded a scholarship. In August 2017, Jeremy will be attending a week-long training opportunity in the Washington D.C. area in coordination with the Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology. The training runs parallel to the CD-SEAS Community Outreach office in that it focuses on individuals becoming “better communicators of science to society.”
In the same respect, the CD-SEAS Community Outreach Officer’s fundamental and core responsibility is to be an effective communicator to our local and global communities for the science our organization is conducting. It is the Office of Community Outreach philosophy to “think globally and act locally” when it comes to space-based scientific research that can positively affect our world, says Jeremy Guin.
Please join us in congratulating Jeremy Guin to his new position at CD-SEAS Mission Microgravity and for the distinction of being awarded a 2017 training scholarship.
